Drains through the backing and the holes.
Standard synthetic turf drains about 28 to 30 inches per hour per square yard. Alpha Pet drains roughly double that, through a high-flow backing as well as quarter-perforated drain holes. None of its parts absorb liquid, which cuts down on bacterial growth.
The USA build adds an action-backed weep for maximum drainage, rated at over 400 inches per hour.

Zeolite and Zeodorizer are made for it. Camo Fill and Wonder Fill carry antimicrobial coatings. Silica sand holds the turf down, but in pet areas pair it with one of those or replace it.
