No — Noir Putt is built on the same roll and pop as our Poa Annua surface. The difference is purely visual: a bold black designer color that makes the green a centerpiece. The ball roll and receptiveness are the same true-rolling performance.
Darker fibers absorb more heat than lighter greens, so in full sun a black surface will run warmer. For hot-climate installs, talk to your trade rep about infill and shade considerations — many Noir installs are used as feature greens rather than all-day practice surfaces.
