SGS and its core members began installing turf on playgrounds well over 15-years ago, when the proliferation of synthetic sports fields were at an all time high.
The playground industry had been laden with older expensive surfacing products. These typically failed after a very short life, or constantly needed maintenance to keep the safety value it was intended to provide.
Because synthetic turf had been proven for years and years in some of the most harsh of conditions, such as high school sports fields, playground turf became a proven option for use as an official tested playground safety surfacing.
SGS Turf playground grass is tested and rated to meet both ASTM & NPSI (National Playground Safety Institute) guidelines as a certified & rated safety surface.

Many of our original turf installations have been installed for over 10-years, have not worn-out, let alone need repair, with little to almost no maintenance.
